This wasn’t named for the show everyone loves (or loves to hate), but rather for a full house in bridge (before the game of bridge was reconstructed by Ely Culbertson). This recipe is from the Old Waldorf-Astoria Bar Book and features Benedictine, which I haven’t featured in a good long while.

Full House
- 3/4 oz apple whiskey
- 3/4 oz Benedictine
- 3/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse
- dash of Angostura bitters
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Hey, remember when Alanis Morissette wrote “You Oughtta Know” about Dave Coulier and everyone kind of went “eww’ because the thought of her sexin’ Joey was kind of gross? Yeah. Drink this when you think about that and I guarantee you’ll forget those horrible, horrible mental images.
