Cameron's Cocktail

• 1 1/2 oz Scotch
• 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
• 1/4 oz orgeat

Shake in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. A drink named after Kirk Cameron would probably be non-alcoholic, fruity, and slightly judgmental. This Cameron Cocktail isn't really in line with that thought, but oh well - it's bright and full of sunshine today and damnit, I'm going to throw in some more Kirk Cameron photos.

But not before I get down to business. Orgeat, contrary to the weird name, has nothing to do with orgies and everything to do with flavor. It's a syrup made from almonds, orange flower water and barley water and has a slightly nutty and delicate flower smell. You can find this at any store that sells syrups for coffee shops and the like, and I've also seen it at TJ Maxx and Marshall's in their odd food product aisles.
