Brightest Young Things

Yesterday's Smith and Wesson was good, but let's replace the vodka with bourbon and see how it tastes, shall we?

Brunette Cocktail

  • 3/4 oz Kahlua
  • 3/4 oz bourbon
  • 3/4 oz cream
  • 1/4 tsp sugar

Shake in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. This drink can be made without the sugar if you so prefer, as the Kahlua already has some in it. And nothing is worse than a sugary, high-octane hangover. I think the Kahlua goes well with the bourbon, but I'm not sold on the cream and sugar. I'm a little biased against drinks that feature dairy and alcohol (read: they make me sick to my stomach) so I'll admit I'm not the best taster for this. You folks at home - try it and give me an honest opinion.

God loves a cheerful giver.
