Again with the pastis today, but that's because it's fun to play with. This cocktail has two names: Battery Charger (more recent) and Tomate (older and French), the difference between the two being that the Battery Charger calls for soda and the Tomate calls for still water.
Battery Charger
- 1 oz pastis
- 1/4 oz grenadine
Fill a highball with ice. Add ingredients and fill with soda. The grenadine cuts some of the licorice taste which is pleasing. I like to add more water than the recipe calls for so I used a larger glass (12 oz rather than 9 oz).
