I really wanted to put up a fake cocktail recipe for April Fool's - something truly dickish, maybe with Ipecac, a hint of sodium phosphate and a smidge of Drano on the finish. But then I realized people might actually try to drink Drano and then sue me because hey, it's DC, a town crawling with lawyers and morons. Enjoy this one instead.
April Showers
- 1/4 oz Benedictine
- 1 oz Brandy
- 1 oz Orange juice
Stir ingredients together with crushed ice in a glass and garnish with mint leaves. Benedictine is amazing (if I had to pick a small number of cocktail ingredients to follow me to a deserted island, Benedictine would be one of them. St. Germaine is probably the other). Using premixed B&B would suffice as well (though there would be a noticeable difference in taste as there would be more Benedictine flavor than Brandy).

I am really enjoying the thumb. It reminds me of after school when I was supposed to be doing homework but was instead enjoying TMNT, Rescue Rangers, Tail Spin, Ducktales and the like. Now I'll enjoy an April Showers as well, thanks!
