I was looking for some more refreshing mint drinks last night (there's more to mint than mojitos, people!) and discovered this. The taste is certainly....interesting.
American Beauty
- 1 dash creme de menthe
- 1/4 orange juice
- 1/4 grenadine
- 1/4 Nouilly Prat vermouth
- 1/4 brandy
Shake with ice and strain into a large highball glass. Top off with a 1/2 oz of Port wine. I think I'm starting to get ill from drinking liquor-and-orange-juice cocktails because there are simply so many of them around. Mint and orange juice also clash which is a damn shame - next time I am going to either replace the orange juice or take it out all together. All in all, this is a pretty cocktail (it looks like some kind of tropical flower) but honestly, it tastes like vomit. FAIL.

Sometimes there are so many liquor-and-OJ-cocktails in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in.
