photo dream team for this week included: Bradley Portnoy, Ben Droz, Mike Danko, Alyssa Lesser, Liz Shen and Chris Svetlik. TEAM WORK!

Against all odds-I think this was the most fun I've ever had at Summer Camp (this summer). The whole concept behind the day was to give power back to the people: make your own ipod playlist and play it (super kudos to Fritz and Kathryn for setting this up-their night is tomorrow night at ST.EX if you want to try it again) and then sing the beejesus out of your wet/naked lungs with Andrew (who mans the Sticky Rice karaoke every Tuesday-which would be tonight).
Here are the highlights (from what I remember, I did start drinking a little more intensely after the Garth Brooks song came on and was promptly followed by 4NonBlondes):
- -The collective rain dance to Toto's Africa
- -Ezra's yacht rock WHILE wearing a captain's shirt
- -Both "Say my name" AND "Killing me softly" sang PERFECTLY (seriously-PERFECTLY)
- -The MTV Spring Break vibe "No Diggity" Brought on
- -Those 2 dudes singing a completely unexpectedly perfect "Wake me up before you go go"
- -"I want your sex" and "Faith" both with on-the-spot-choreographies
- -the "Toxic" Scream-Along with Dakota on falsetto back vocals
- -The all girl, all swimsuit rendition of "Baby got back"
- -The smoking jacket, air humping ode to Electric Six's "Gay Bar"
- -The interns/dakota combo butchering "Stacy's Mom" for Libby after last week's Tinted Windows escapade
- -Tito singing "She's a lady" in poolside drag
- -The final close-down to "Total Eclipse of The Heart"
-OTHER THINGS I AM FORGETTING (BUT YOU SHOULD MENTION IN COMMENTS)
I laughed, I cried, I danced. It was both scary and beautiful and everyone at the time thought it was a good idea, which is what parties are (or at least should be) all about.
We are back this week with KAZOO CAMP and DJ Neville Chamberlain so - be there or be sad you missed it.

God loves a cheerful giver.

I really wanted to go to this one (Svet, remember "Bringing Sexy Back?" and "Common People"?) but I was getting crabs.
Oops. Stupid Enter Key.
Looks like fun.
getting crabs!?! i thought Jeff was on the house boat??
He dropped them off prior to leaving.
Besides Peter brought some extras. What song did he sing by the way? I know he lost a runway walk-off at my place later that evening. Lost to me, natch.
bwahahahaahahahaha.
i too wanted to go but was busy winning a carnivore carnival and backyard olympics in VA, 2nd year in a row
I disliked almost everything except for the underwater shots. Those are awfully good.
Svet, tell Mick to shut the fuck up. I'm afraid I don't have the authority
Don't pick on Dr. Danko! He's a damn good photographer and cute to boot.
Wow Sveti. Tito made your highlight reel. I presume as much for my vocal prowess as for my beautiful blond wig and radiant red lipstick.
I'm glad you thought the party was "scary and beautiful." I'm glad we made you cry.
Can any of you more literate BYTers out there tell me why it's called dressing in DRAG ... and who invented the term? no googling!
Hot tip from Tito, who lives just 3 blocks from our party locale in Newly Happening Southwest. The capsky is a great place to hang out during the week, daytime or nightime. Soft music, food and drink, twinkly night lights, a lowkey vibe, and our wonderful pool. You can find tito there a coupla days or nights per week, working on his book.
maybe even dressed in drag.

Was there ever an answer to the last tito quiz?
DRAG. It's been a theatre term for cross-dressing for years. No? And, I've also heard that it's an abbreviation for "dressed as girl."
I reckon tito should be more than satisfied by now. Now I wonder if 'tito' is merely Spanish for 'tit' or there's more to it than sees the eye?
Cale -- mais non monsieur. No one answered the other Tito quiz. The answer was that last saturday, the day of our karaoke party, was the 35th anniversary of the resignation of Richard Nixon. Which I'd say we celebrated quite suitably.
And Ryma, mazeltov, you get an A-. Indeed, a theatre term "for years." Indeed, an abbreviation for "dressed as girl." How many years? It's in the original folios ... of Shakespeare. "Actor enters stage right DRAG." Dressed as girl.
Why seems like just the other day old Will and I were sharing a coupla mugs of mead, and he says to me "Tito ....
