This past weekend on April 25th, the one and only and incomparable Bea Arthur died, from cancer, at the age of 86.
Today on BYT goes out to her.
God loves a cheerful giver.

We'll always be Bosom Buddies, Bea!
I remember getting into an argument with a friend once about how Maude had an abortion and how controversial it was at the time.
"Who?" asked my friend. "Bea Arthur," I replied.
"When did Bea Arthur have an abortion?" asked my friend. "On Maude!" I said.
"Well, I don't remember that episode of the 'Golden Girls'."
On Saturday, I went driving around DC with some friends blasting the theme songs to "Maude" and "The Golden Girls." We got many thankful looks and acknowledgements of the love we all had for that funny, hilarious lady.
Goodbye, Spumoni face!
Bea Arthur singing about the drugs (with Rock Hudson):
JRs last night did a terrific job honoring Bea. About every four videos that they played (it was Showtunes Night) was of Bea Arthur. The place was packed with guys singing "Bosom Buddies," "Thank You for Being A Friend" and "Then There's Maude." There were also some great videos of Arthur on Broadway and talk shows.
Miss you Bea.
