At turns funny and tragic, the compelling La bestia nel cuore was Italy’s nominee for the Oscars last year, from director Cristina Comencini. Voice-over actress Sabina’s seemingly idyllic life is shattered when she starts to have painful childhood memories that also affect her brother, Daniele, who has a life and family of his own in Charlottesville. Pregnant, she goes to America to visit him and to uncover the truth of their past.
