RICHIE HAWTIN BIO:
Also Known As: Plastikman Fuse Circuit Breaker From Within Cybersonik Concept 1 Xenon Hard Brothers Jack Master UP! Final Exposure Richard Michaels Chrome Robotman Spawn LFO vs FUSE.
Canada’s RICHIE HAWTIN has made his mark on electronic music by being both inventive and innovative. His career takes him all over the world with tour dates in over 25 nations on average each year. Born in Banbury, England, his family moved to Windsor in the late 1970’s. As a teenager Hawtin found inspiration to make music from a combination of techno music from Detroit, his father’s record collection and an obsession with computers, video games and science fiction. As a recording artist, producer, remixer, live performer and DJ, his productions are recorded in Windsor and released on his now legendary Plus 8 & Minus record labels. Today, in between touring the globe he spends time in his studios in Windsor, Canada and Berlin, Germany.
With over fifteen years of DJ experience, Hawtin has headlined some of the most prestigious festivals and events in club culture to date and continues to define rather than follow musical trends. Internationally in demand, from Seoul to Sydney, San Francisco to Sao Paulo or Dublin to Istanbul, Hawtin’s developed sound of entertaining and interesting DJ art continues to push dance music into the future. His DJ reputation has earned him many Best International DJ awards with fans and the music industry.
On record it was Hawtin’s recording moniker of PLASTIKMAN that put him in the limelight, with a mix of techno and ambient sounds. His dedication to his craft has also received notoriety, performing live with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, creating sound installations for the French Ministry of Culture’s Millennium Celebration and composing music for the Torino 2006 XXth Olympic Winter Games opening ceremonies.
Not content with technology of today, Hawtin has had a unique vision in developing creative options for musicians to create and perform electronic music with, most notably with early involvement in the Final Scratch DJ system and his own modifications to DJ equipment. His attention to detail and desire to push the envelope both in the studio and on the stage continues to be his beacon of determination in addition to being Canada’s electronic music ambassador.

BAREM BIO:
Mauricio Barembuem (a.k.a. Barem) is a young emerging artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was a music student and a guitar enthusiast since the age of 15. By the age of 19, Barem was fully dedicated to creating electronic music shortly after a trip to Berlin. In 2003, he started djing and performing live sets of minimal techno. Today, Barem’s groovy minimal tracks are based around synthetic samples, analog rhythmic elements and hypnotic basslines. Also integrating rhythmic nuances of his native Argentinian roots, Barem’s work is singularly deep, tracky and heady with a timbral sensibility that is intermittently harmonic. Meanwhile, his sound continues to evolve while he cleverly maintains his own unique style.
In 2006, Barem did extensive world touring throughout Europe, South America and North America. At the year’s end, he was ranked as the #4 “best newcomer” in Groove Magazine’s annual reader’s poll issue. Now that Barem is a household name in the techno world, he will continue
expanding his sound while constantly djing and playing live around the world. For the present and future, Barem takes a step forward by focusing his music productions on the only two families where he feels a strong connection, minus and foundsound.

AMBIVALENT BIO:
Kevin McHugh (aka AMBIVALENT) is a native of Washington, DC and resident of New York City. His musical development began in DC where he was influenced by the broad nature of that city’s music scene. Early exposure to acid-house and industrial side-by-side with DC’s homegrown go-go and hardcore punk scenes deeply influenced his music.
After a brief period in London, Kevin moved to New York in 1996. He began producing a music series inside the Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage for Creative Time. Over the next 5 years he produced events with artists such as Thomas Brinkmann, Dimbiman, Carl Craig, Ryoji Ikeda, Pole, and many more. It was during this time that he began making a connection with M-nus. He went on to produce events in New York featuring friends such as Magda, Troy Pierce and his roommate Jesse (Heartthrob) as well as Matthew Dear, Akufen and Sammy Dee.
He moved to Berlin in 2004 to help Richie Hawtin produce the Plastikman live concert. He later returned to New York and re-dedicated himself to producing music inspired by his friends. He answered an ad for an apartment, and moved in with a DJ named Camea. She later created Clink Recordings. He DJs regularly in New York, and on his internet radio show, The Nerd Tank, with Camea. He has releases and remixes (past and forthcoming) on Minus, Clink, Klickhaus, Esperanza, and Leftroom.
