a really GREAT lineup, for a really good cause:

THE BANDS:
Beauty Pill (last seen opening for Dismemberment plan second reunion show, mixes perfect girl vocals, pop licks and occasionally darker, sweeping instrumentalizations)
Georgie James, (freshly signed to Saddle Creek, making one of their rare local appearances this summer before running of to record full time)
Roof Walkers (formerly Pagoda, with their dreamy boy harmonies, that makes us think of Yo La Tengo at its best).

THE DEAL:
1525 Newton Street NW
Doors at 7pm, music at 8pm, all done by 11pm.

$8 ticket,
plus folks are encouraged to bring canned veggies, peanut butter, whole grain cereal and the like.
It is a benefit for One DC and Books for America.
