Edie Sedgwick is our throwaway culture’s favorite poor-little-rich girl. She is Andy Warhol’s vapid Superstar carried out of Spaceship Earth’s arms by a drug overdose in 1971. She was reincarnated by mysterious means as a transgendered being in 2004 and now spreads her revolutionary, celebrity-centered ideology via electrotrash odes to cultural icons like Christian Slater and Lucy Liu. On furlough from Manhattan with only an IPod containing her special collection of homebrewed beats, her traveling burlesque theater is equal parts drag show, political think-in, and celebrity roast. Le Tigre meets Black Flag for an irony-free dance party with a tranny Milton Berle as MC!
