UPDATE: THIS WEEK IS CANCELED
It’s rain and clouds all day plus thunderstorms and also
probably tornadoes and those weird wind twister things they
get in Iowa so Summer Camp Week 4 is CANCELED.
BUT: We’ll see you next week at Week 5: SPACE CAMP
Hey liberal arts degree holders! We know that deep down, you wish you would have had the guts to go to art school. To make matters worse, now that your non-profit’s endowment has dried up you might as well have a degree in illustration rather than that double major in poli sci and philosophy.
SAD TIMES!
Well this week summer camp is going to let you enroll in art school and live out all of your bohemian post-adolescent fantasies.
Week 4 we go all pretentious Art school on you. In the Best Way Imaginable:
We Fough the Big One DJs
Our own DJ Cale
DC’s finest True Womanhood LIVE with some special performance surprises
Baltimore’s finest Art Department (geddit?) LIVE
We’ll have finger AND body painting, Collaging, TEAM ARTWORK!, art installations around the pool and at 6pm Conner contemporary will host a series of video art screenings.
Plus, as always: tons of giveaways and the best pool sangria in town
this is an all ages event
noon to 8pm
All drinks $5 or under (sponsored by Imperial vodka), yummy food “buckets” – calamari, wings, and falafel for $4 and a full menu for lunch, dinner, etc, etc, etc
ATMs and LOCKERS are available (bring your own padlock, or buy one off the hotel for $10).
Give us your email for weather updates:
