Live music from Brazil at the Copley Lawn of the Georgetown University
Local Brazilian Musicians & Forro in the Dark
37th and O Street NW
Washington, DC
Starting at 2pm at Copley Lawn of Georgetown University’s campus, local artists will be performing a variety of Brazilian rhythms including bossa nova, old-school samba and choro. NYC-based Brazilian band Forro in the Dark (http://forrointhedark.com/) will close the event. A workshop on Brazilian music will also be offered prior to the musical performances.
In addition, authentic churrasco (Brazilian barbecue) and feijoada (Brazilian black bean stew) will be sold at the event.
This is a fantastic Brazilian addition to all the great Hispanic Heritage Month events going on this month.
