Andrea – maybe because the more important thing is that it is a benefit for Martha’s Table which does very good work. Try volunteering there sometime, handing out hot soup and sandwiches around town to the destitute and homeless. I have and it puts a lot in perspective.

November 21, 2009 at 2:04 amThe Electric Maid is a work in progress. It is a Community Living Room NOT a club or venue. Do you want to snipe and snarj or help out.? We run it with a very small staff that largely has day jobs and other things that they do. Running a space that is used part time as a venue is NOT an easy task.

Why is this being promoted? No one worth hearing has ever played at the Electric Maid. Ever. I know because I live within earshot of that dump.
