1.Spice Girls, "Headline (Friendship Never Ends)"
The New Spice Girls single. (they're back!) It is good that a. Victoria married rich and b. Mel B has Eddy Murphy's child rearing money till the day she dies. Because-this song kinda blows.

2. Beirut, "My Night With the Prostitute From Marseille"
A classy tune from Zach Condon, straight from the much blog buzzed "Natalie Portman's Big Change: Songs for FINCA charity" album.

3. Björk, "Scary"
An old B-side. From the Homogenic Era. Which is amazing.

4.M.I.A., "Paper Planes (remix)
All Hip Hopped out and Killer. Better than the original song even.

5. The Verve, The Thaw Sessions
Verve is also back. And as NY Magazine said: "doing what they do best-playing the same chord for 15 straight minutes".

6. Sondre Lerche, "To Be Surprised"
Since everyone is on a Swedish, melodic pop high since that Jens Lekman show on Thursday, here is some more.

7. 50 Cent feat. Lil' Kim, "Wanna Lick?"
And just because the general classiness of this week's column was a tad overwhelming, we have 50 and Lil' Kim evening things out for us. No classy lollipop metaphors here

Looks like that Kevipod link got removed by Metallica or something. I've been getting my fix of that joint from Hype Machine: http://thebeebblog.blogspot.com/2007/10/new-spice-girls-headlines-friendship.html

Best Spice Girl: Scary obviously.
Most Well Aged SG: Sporty
Scariest: Posh
