1.Britney Spears vs. Amy Winehouse, “Toxic Rehab” (remixed by DJ Paul V.)
It Ain’t over till the drunk/crazy/shaved head/gold toothed “lady” sings.

2.Babyshambles, “French Dog Blues”
Pete Doherty may have a crack addicted kitten, and questionable taste in hats but this song is ACES.
Seriously, cross-my-heart-hope-to-die-of-an-overdose aces.
MP3 here via Dead Flowers

3.MGMT, “Time to Pretend”
So Alexandra dated someone in this band, and well, good job, because the band is great. Think ultramelodic lo-fi disco for that precious 3 am to 3. 15 am time span when you are tired but your feet aren’t.

4.Yeasayer, “2080”
The best psychedelic song about the future not written by Rush.
MP3 here via Raven

5.Jason Isbell, “Psycho Killer” (Talking Heads cover)
This year the ex-Drive by Trucker can do no wrong, even when doing something with such sacrilegeous potential as remaking David Byrne.
MP3 here PLUST TONS MORE COVERS by Jason via Berkeley

6.Duran Duran feat. Justin Timberlake, “Night Runner”
+ produced by Timbaland.
which basically makes it my new favorite song for the next 10 minutes.
deal.

7.Mobius Band “Friends Like These”
The boys are coming to town soon and this is why you should start getting excited.

Popbytes makes it clear its a Empulsive remix, not Paul V. . .

Svetlana Says:

My bad. It is “mash-up of the week with Paul V” so it was a slip. Of the mind and the keyboard.
