All girls. All sass. All the time. This week. (plus some cannibalism thrown in for good measure)

1. Portishead, “Silence”
Portishead is back. Sounding…just like they did when they left off in 1998. New album is out in April, but in the meantime, I’m putting this, and reputting “Glorybox” on my ipod.

2. Annie, “Girlfriend”
Annie is back. And is telling some dude his girlfriend hates her. Though after hearing this shimmy-your-pantalones-off song, she’d probably change her mind.

3. Diplo feat. Deize Tigrona, “Bandida”
Diplo’s remix of M.I.A’s “Sunshowers” is still my favorite M.I.A song, and if there is justice in the world, Deize Tigrona will be at least one fifth of a star your favorite Sri-Lankan is

4. Santogold “LES Artistes” remix
Speaking of new M.I.A’s….
MP3 here via Gorilla vs. Bear
5. Bell “Videotape/Eraser”
Which brings us to the new Bjork (everything is the new something, just get with it)

and our cover for the day
6. Dresden Dolls “Rid of Me”
Breathtaking take on PJ Harvey’s already breathtaking number. A can’t miss.
MP3 here via Music Slut
and via that we get to finally,
7. The Moulettes, “Cannibal Song”
Some breakups are worse than others, say London’s newest pop treasure Moulettes. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, especially if she eats people.

talk about breathtaking takes!
