“As a producer and DJ from DC, one of my biggest goals with my remixes is to shed light on my favorite DC bands and artists, so I was pumped to tackle a track by my favorite live act in the city, The Dance Party. I took the original new wave stomp of “Sasha Don’t Sleep” and turned it into a big peak hour summer jam, adding huge horn stabs, funky basslines, a big breakdown and a ton of cowbell. Like all of remixes, I tried to reinvent the track, only using the original vocals and a little bit of heavily-processed guitar, but I made sure to keep the original version’s awesome over-the-top vibe.
