Antony and the Johnsons’ new album The Crying Light with Nico Muhly is out Jan 20th on Secretly Canadian. I remember back in 2003 or something my friend AOL Instant Messaged (remember that?) me and file transferred over Cripple and the Starfish from Antony’s self titled debut. His track record for turning me on to new stuff was pretty solid so I ran it into the nice stereo. 4 min later I had tears in my eyes and was in love with this man. Or woman. Or whatever.
