Fine. Nobody liked my Zappa song. Howabout the uber crowd pleaser Junior Senior? Everyone loves Junior Senior. Move your feet and feel united. Well did you know they had a 2nd album? Yeah, it came out 3 years ago, it just never made it over to the states till last year. And they never toured DC for it. What the hell? They’re so cute live. Anyway, I’ve been playing one of the stand outs “Take My Time” at gigs since 2006 and pretty consistently get asked who it is. So here’s another one that is just as wonderful. Go out and get this album - has a bonus disc too.
I liked your Zappa song! In fact, I like just about any song that references any part of greater Los Angeles. For instance, off the top of my head, both Tom Petty and Soul Coughing have songs that mention Reseda (”Free Falling” and “Screenwriters Blues” respectively)–to say nothing of all the songs about the L.B.C.
Of course, now this comment is on the wrong song… Damn my hesitation.
So I just put “Screenwriters Blues” on the stereo and daaaaaaaaaaamn I love this song…
OK, to make this comment on-topic, this Junior Senior song is damn catchy and danceable. I like. The CD is going in my to-buy-eventually queue.
