Flight of the Conchords always worked best when the songs were something you'd want to listen to again outside of the context of the episode. One of the best examples of this, and one of the best episodes in general, is Bowie's In Space from Season 1. Jemaine & Bret give Weird Al a run for his money with their "style parody" going through various stages of Bowie's career with plenty of space jokes and acid humor. In fact Weird Al makes a cameo in that episode on the cover of Novelty Music Scene (ha!) magazine. Anyway, the song is wonderful and makes me miss these guys.
