Brightest Young Things

In a perfect world, every song is good enough to be part of an Apple commercial.
Here, The Submarines, who I remember seeing forever a go at Maison Francaise opening for Nouvelle Vague and thinking they are a little extra more than "just adorable" hit you with finger snapping some social discontent.

If this is "social discontent", then Cale is a fucking Che Guevara. I dunno, man...

The Beatles were good. You know of them?

Ernest,

What the devil you doing with this lame bourgeois faggy career-starters set?.. Have your principles gone out the window? I’m not amused. Knock it off asshole.

Curious how he never responds when he's called out for talking to himself under different names...

Submarines were a revelation opening for N.V. in Denver. They did a G500 cover - I think it was Tugboat?

This is kinda funny (creepy), he was doing the whole Ernest / Peggy thing at City Paper on the old Iceland blog but he messed up at one point and got the two personalities confused: http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/iceland/2007/05/02/show-46-brooklyn-ny/

yeah, i saw that. he also posted as his other favorite personality, "bobby", on the city paper site. on this site he has been peggy, bobby, nancy and ernest (sounds like a line from a new edition song). i like how he accidentally replied to ernest as ernest when he meant to do it as peggy and then tried to cover. poor, confused individual. he is probably just a kid. i hope so, anyway.
