The Lodger are a nice little indie pop band from Leeds. Their sophomore album from 2008 contained this infectious gem that I can't stop strumming my air guitar to. It's like a polished studio version of Voxtrot's The Start of Something. Oh wait, that song is actually better. Now that's my fav. Whatever, this is good too.

God loves a cheerful giver.
and their debut album was discussed here in 2007: http://www.brightestyoungthings.com/music/listening-party-the-lodger/
yeah, could have sworn we had written about them before, but that page wasn't indexed for some reason so it wasn't showing up in searches.
i know, i actually remembered one of the comments and had to find it through that, anyway....
I can never start a conversation about The Lodger without starting on the brilliance of "Let Her Go," but there is a sweet handful right behind it.
"Getting special" just popped up on my ipod-that was nice.
