Yesterday night, while most people ate dinner and picked out their shorts for the night I had a phone interview with Rachael Yamagata. She was delightful, but more on that later. Anyway, we talked a lot about her sountrack work and then I proceeded to listen to all the OSTs that were sort of special to me in my tender teen and college years (you know: “Rushmore”, “Eternal Sunshine”…) and this.
Man, this:
listen even though you’ve heard it before:
download:
Playground Love” MP3

p.s. read the book. the book IS perfect.

It used to be in the cd player in my bathroom (before they had ipod docks and such) and i would listen to this album each morning in the shower. It was an eerie way to start the day.
September 12, 2008 at 8:49 amWow. This is an eternal fucking classic. Air never ever sounded better than on this song.
Also, I can’t believe Svetlana mentioned the concept of being *afraid* of being sick of a favorite song. I thought I was the only one with that particular OCD.
