A couple years ago I was in a cable car suspended 300 ft over a sulfur mine in the Hakone mountains of Japan listening to my iPod on shuffle. This song came on as fog completely engulfed the entire compartment from every direction. I had no idea where I was going or how high I was. I didn't know what the tune was but it was hitting me hard. I resisted the urge to look at the screen, letting it play out. When it reached the 3 min mark I realized it was a remix of a song I knew very well, those are my fav kinds of remixes. The experience has forever carved itself into my brain and eerie waves of nostalgia wash over me every time I've heard it again. I'll leave it a mystery for those that want to try to guess.
