Crown Heights Affair were an NYC disco funk unit that garnered a few hits in the mid to late 70s, but are mostly forgotten these days. It's a shame too cause these guys are fantastic, on par with one time label-mates Kool & The Gang. Their catalog is mostly out of print, but lucky for you there is a nice 2 disc greatest hits collection from Amazon MP3 for only $7.99! Oh wait, it actually leads to the soundtrack to the short lived FOX rock drama The Heights. Ug, remember How Do You Talk To An Angel? So anyway, after the death of disco and declining sales, Crown Heights Affair made a last ditch effort to update their sound with 1982's Stay Positive. They added some robot effects and synths and ripped off the Sugarhill Gang for this epic nugget of cheese. My fav part: Now the bass is in your face, ah-c'mon!

God loves a cheerful giver.
I was just talking to about "How do you talk to an angel" (how do you catch a falling star?) the other day. Anyway, THIS, though, a good song.
This is ‘another one bites the dust’ but witha positive angle. That's what they ripped off, Cale.
Wasn't that Grandmaster Flash?
Love me some Kurtis Blow-style raps over 80s synth funk
