The Records were a late 70s British power pop band best known for their seminal hit Starry Eyes. It’s a brilliant song, and arguably better than anything Big Star ever recorded, but their third single is my favorite. I dare you not to sing along the second time around. It’s a little pervy, a lot catchy, and immaculately recorded. I’m sure Donald Fagen is a fan.
