This song got picked as a result of sort of a perfect storm of circumstance.
First, Cale had a Mirah song in his dog playlist on Friday, which made me want listen to her again (I haven’t in a while).
Then while sick and catching up on my DVR someone danced to this on “So You Think You Can Dance” (don’t laugh, you KNOW it is the best show ever) and even though this song is 7+ years old (it is on her 2001 very excellent “Advisory Committee” album), it sounded as fresh and modern as anything I heard yesterday. A little darker too than expected. And all, conveniently for my miserable attention span, packed in at around 3 minutes.
