Problem: you love comedy, but it’s hard to keep track of what’s going on every week.
Solution: We’ve taken our Bentzen Ball expertise and used it to round up all of the interesting comedy shows and national comedy news each week into a neat little package. Like a Bento Box. Or a pipe bomb. Named in honor of the movie that inspired Ollie Bentzen to laugh himself to death lo so many years ago.

First of all, cadet, your week in Comedy Shows:
Monday:
Ben Kronberg has returned to DC, and, thanks to Justin Cousson of UMD, he's receiving the hero's welcome he deserves. Find a ride or hop the bus and go see this. It's free and there will be cute college girls who adore beards and meta-comedy.

Tuesday:
SpeakeasyDC starts at 6:30 tonight. The storytelling night often attracts comedians and plain funny people to tell tales of the embarrassing and ridiculous, though you'll have to sit through a few NPR wanna-bes to check it out.
In more storytelling news: Henry Rollins is in town at the Birchmere, which he perhaps doesn't realize is in Virginia. He'll be there Wednesday too, so you can wait til then if Tuesdays are your glutes rotation.
And Ben Kronberg is a bit closer to home over on H St. at the Palace of Wonders.
Wednesday:
Open Mic Spotlight: There's a place called the Soundry in Vienna that's apparently a converted autobody shop. They have all kinds of cute community events and if you live in deepest VA you should probably just go to their comedy night to check it out and report back to me what it's all about thanks... bonus points if there are chickens onstage with the comics.
Thursday:
From tonight till sunday at the Improv is Harland Williams- who you might know from his work as a murderous hitchhiker, urine-loving policeman, or guy who once asked me for a hit off my flask at a US Royalty show last summer--doing his "thing".
Friday:
At the drafthouse all this weekend: Partners, possibly lovers, and two of the funniest guys from Comedy Central's most longstanding and consistent show: Reno 9-11 (which is full of exiles from the State, so expect weird and hilarious bits awkwardly truncated).

Saturday:
Ron White is at the Warner theater. Because who doesn't want to pay $50 for potato salad?
If you're hungrier for real food and local comedy, there's a new comedy club er...room opening above Rincon in Adams Morgan.
Sunday:
There's still tickets available for the Second City Anniversary tour at Wolf Trap (Saturday night is Sold Out), and all fans of old school improv (less funny, more theater of the absurd) should head out to bask in the institutionalized subconscious.

Looking forward:
There are many great events coming in March to DC, including a new edition of Bentzen Ball Presents: The Family Hemerlein Variety Show on the last thursday of this month. But we're especially intrigued by this performance of Japanese Rakugo, a comic storytelling tradition that goes back 400 years, coming to the Kennedy Center on the 31st. At 1.5 dick jokes a day, that's approximately 200 million dicks. That's a whole lot of dicks, even for your mom.

In other news:
The end of an Era:
Chelsea Peretti (Bentzen Ball heroine!) gives sex/twitter advice!
I love micro-show series.
The Hotel - Room Service
This honky grandma be trippin!
BEST TWITTER OF THE WEEK:
These:

and finally, beating Libby to the punch no doubt: the really big news.
There's a new police academy movie in the works.
You know you want it.

"cute college girls who adore beards and meta-comedy"
