Monday night parties have the advantage of low expectations. I have the advantage of living about 10 minutes by foot from a crap load of bars and clubs in the south-of-dupont part of Connecticut Avenue. So without investing too much time and money, I gots me the perfect sandwich. Except the part about money because this is Fly, after all, where the $11 Jagers make even a major lover like me think twice two times. But I built all that into my expectations before I came out for the last hour or so of the weekly Layover Lounge, which ended up a club full of handsome upwardly mobile black folk, banging to Hip Hop Dan and some undisclosed dude’s selections, and driving home tipsy from the Chandon etc., in at least one Maserati and a gang of Benzes.
