This past Wednesday, Alliance Francaise held one of their “electronic happy hours” this time with a “Color of Love” theme. Not as packed as some of their previous events (I blame the weather) it was actually kind of nice to be able to just lounge around their terrific building on Wyoming, drink kir royales, eat chocolate fondue, throw balloons and petals at innocent bystanders, wear can can dresses, listen to some poetry and watch “Paris Je T’aime” on the big screen.
DJ Neville C was in charge of the music, and he delivered on all the Gainsbourg, Francoise Hardy and Sylvie Vartan accounts (+ some very welcome Mano Negra) and I still think that even though Tobi won for the “color of love” outfit we should have had a clean sweep as Haley’s ipod set consisting of “Worked up so sexual”, Peaches’ remix of “Wild Thing” and some Dean & Britta should have won the music prize.
Bonus points for the volunteer staff totally going at it for Lexie

I haven’t heard “Worked up so Sexual” at any dance nights or whatever in about a million years. Please tell me that the dance floor went nuts when it came on. That shit should be a staple.
