The, at this point, sporadic, but always well-meaning trolling through whatever free MP3s are on the internet offer continues. This week we get special:
1. Of Montreal “Brush, brush, brush”
How excited are you for “Skeletal Lamping” ?
MP3 here via Stereogum
2. Bitone “All is Full Of Love”
How is this for special: It’s Björk’s song from Homogenic interpreted by children in Uganda, making use of traditional instruments. Haunting.
MP3 here via Pitchfork
3. Memory Cassette “Truck Stop”
I don’t know who these people are but in a perfect universe me and whoever they are would go dancing like we’d never dance before and after we are good and sweaty and happy…..then we’d all do an afterparty cuddle with them. To this.
MP3 here via Gorilla vs. Bear

4. Secret Machines “Dreaming of Dreaming”
After 2 years, they’re back
MP3 here via Both Bars On
5. Music Furthest From The Sea (MP3s)
The city of Ürümqi, even though its name sounds like it was invented by Jorge Luis Borges, is actually a real place in northwestern China, the largest city in western China, and the capital of the Xinjian Uyghur Autonomous Region. It holds the distinction of being the city furthest away from any sea, about 1,400 miles. What kind of music do people produce who are so far away from oceans? Surf music it isn’t, that I can tell you.
MP3 here via WFMU blog
6. My Bloody Valentine “Cupid Come”
And finally as the WHOLE WIDE INTERNET WEB PREPS FOR the reunioning of MBV, get a dose of them and a whole bunch of other mind-melting nostalgia right at this link below. Is anyone going to NY tonight for this?
MP3 here via Swan Fungus
