Free piece of advice for the day:
Today, Hardly Art (the home of Le Loup and Dutchess and The Duke, both of whom BYT hearts very very hard) is releasing their final issue of the year Pretty and Nice’s “Get Young”.
Trust us, you need to own it.
Aside from a terrific name and some of the most stellarly stellar album art we’ve seen around,

the music itself is the kind of catchy catchiness, with a terrific sense of humor to boot, that comes at you like a tidal wave and does not let go till it has had its way with you. Its the kind of music you have heard and loved before but people seem to have forgotten how to make.
listen to it in whole with just a quick clickclick here
To quote the press release (which I actually agree with): Recalling the more bizarre moments of Elvis Costello (yes!), Brainiac (yessss!), and XTC (YESSSSS!), Get Young is a record of sharp-toothed, heavily armed, snappish pop songs, with no filler to be found; it is subversive pop music that teeters between huge power pop hooks and campy new wave extravagance.
