As I have watched “Miracle” 85 times this week I have decided that the best weekend bet this weekend is dedicating some time to team building.
I mean, its good to belong.
Its good to have people who have your back, no matter who, people who won’t judge you if you puke on the ice after too many drills, people who will step up to a wierdly-accented toupe-headed Kurt Russell and say:
“Cause we’re a family coach”, and mean it, just for you.
You got their back, they got theirs.
Who do you play for?
THE TEAM.
No “I” in it.
AND AGAIN.
Who do you play for?
AND AGAIN….
I have also obviously gone insane so don’t necessarily listen to me, but do consider buying me a whistle. I really want one.
In other news, its the weekend and I am tired and I could sum it up in the following fashion:
THURSDAY:
Support art in all its forms (see here and here and here)
FRIDAY
Support Sebastien Tellier and Lemonade, in my opinion the best and seeminly only non-sold out show at 930 club this springtime.
SATURDAY
Go to Baltimore or Harrisonburg as it will be way cooler there than here (though here may not be all that bad either)
SUNDAY
Spend all day reading this
DONE AND DONE.
feel free to tell me off in the comments or actually peruse the rather elaborately intricate calendar we’re keeping for you.
Just stay off the Mall. And thin ice.
AND AGAIN:
NOW WE’RE TALKING!
April 2, 2009 at 3:31 pmEveryone should head over to Wonderland (http://www.thewonderlandballroom.com/events.htm) from 12:00-3:00 pm tomorrow, Saturday, and play with some cute adoptable dogs from the Washington Animal Rescue League (http://www.warl.org/).
i mean seriously what is better than dogs and beer?
April 2, 2009 at 4:03 pmDogs and Beer and Guns.
April 2, 2009 at 4:20 pmif you’re sad about the lady gaga show being canceled – try working on finding some good new music on your own instead of listening to the crap that you are told is cool.
April 2, 2009 at 4:44 pmi am pretty certain the main appeal of lady gaga is that no way in hell is she cool.
on the other hand-LEMONADE!
just go there. trust me.
