This weekend is going to be so awesome, it will suck.
It will suck because if you choose to see HEALTH and Apes you will miss Les Savy Fav and the Dodos
It will suck because if you go to check out Tittsworth at the District Line you will have to miss Hirshhorn after hours
It will suck because there is so much (genuinely awesome) awesome on offer this weekend that you WILL have to choose.
And it will be hard.
As always peruse our Baltimore Guide plus Art Itinerary and Free Movie Selection for additional choices.
Now off we go.
Like the wind.
(also, I will say fuck a lot in here. for this I apologize in advance. I only swear because I love.)

Thursday
I think arts related stuffs (the Warhol Lecture, the Dan Graham screening, Pecha Kucha) is where its at but if you are in the mood for a show don't fucking miss the Boredoms. Japanese drum freaks have a new album out coming out on Thrill Jockey (me to David at the label: David, can we do a listening party? David at the label to me: Well, it is all one song. One 47 minute long song. I don't think I can get that approved. Me: Oh. Awesome) or you know, check out Kimya at the Cat.
Friday
Fuck all.
FUCK. IT.
F.U.C.K.I.T
With HEALTH (at Velvet Lounge), Beach House and Papercuts (at RNR), The Dodos and Les Savy Fav (at the Cat) and Enon (at Iota) all in town I do wish we could all just teleport around. Usually you're lucky if you have this kind of a spread within 2 weeks, let alone in one night.
We've interviewed/reviewed/previewed all these bands so do your homework and then....
Go with your gut instincts. I guess.
Hope for the best, expect the worst.
Also on offer: open bar for a good cause at ESL, open bar with Tittsworth and Gavin at the District Line, guerilla queer bar anniversary and everyone's favorite "i like art, and i like to drink" event: Hirshhorn after hours.
End the night at Jimmy Valentine's.
Then ask yourself: why do I do this to myself?
Saturday
You may not want to be alive anymore but you are young and bright and thingy (or so I tell you, dammit) so pick up the pieces, slap some La Mer on, work that eyeliner into the dark circles and head out into the wilderness:
Art parties and pre-pre-pre-parties a go go, The very amazing Dirtbombs (plus Julie Ocean) at RNR, DC's favorite girls that rock at the Cat and a warehouse super jam party that you need to rsvp to now.
And if it all gets to be way to much, take a (disco) nap on someone's couch.
Sunday
Aloha is in town (though they are kind of from here. Can we still claim them?) With Roofwalkers.
See them.
Or just sleep.
You'll be ready for it by now.
Now-tell me what I missed.
God loves a cheerful giver.
i'm scared of tomorrow. i may lose my mind trying to hop around. however, i will stay young and bright and thingy for you, svet. for you.
Anyone else going to Les Savy Fav?
Also I have to be at work at 6am on Saturday.
robbers on high street at the hotel tonight. no love?

Williams, your faith shall be your salvation. Have faith and you shall make it to Saturday night, my brother. Then you shall rest on the Sabbath. Go, now, and drinketh of this plentiful wine I have made for you. Believe in me and you shall not puketh in the bathroom at work.
