It is Thursday.
And if you're not in Miami, WMC-ing it away, then you may be interested in what is going on in our fair city this weekend.
But before we get to that, can everyone please put their hands together for Greg who is now doing a weekly Baltimore show round-up for BYT.
No more missing Crystal Castles EVER
Now that you know what will be up there, let me tell you what will be down here.

Thursday
I know I pimp Modernist Society every month, but hey, you do something in a new, interesting format, and bring new, interesting people to talk to every month, and hell, I'll pimp you too.
(disclaimer: I actually never use the words "pimp you" in real life, I swear.)
In any case in the hot seat today is Eric Hilton. Jason interviews. Daryle and Neal play great music. Everyone enjoys drink special.
In terms of shows, the Xiu Xiu / Thao Nguyen at the Cat will be awesome and will probably sell out and so get there early. (and before you go read Jen's interview with Thao here). Back up plan: Port O'Brien at DC9.
I myself will be at My Favorite Dress @ St. EX. Wearing a dress. Feeling pretty. Drinking peroni or something.
You should too.
Friday
Its the weeekend.
Go to the closing of Wreckfest at Tiffany's early and then...
Stephen Malkmus is at 930 club.
He is so unspeakably cool I have no words to describe him, but it is sold out (wait for our Janet Weiss interview tomorrow) and as such you may need alternative ways of entertaining yourself.
So, you may as well go dancing.
If you're in the mood for just some good old-fashioned backstaging Steve Stereofaith is back with STRFCKR or you could finally wear your white bra under a sheer dress out and go to this Soiree Disco @ Ultrabar.
I know it sounds like a disaster (you HAVE to RSVP, there is a dress code), but fuck it, I love dressing up, and just think of it as Disco City but with leather couches (I mean, Chris Burns is DJing).
I'm taking my brother and his gold cuff links.
You should bring yours too.
Saturday
Cherry blossoms!
Tourists!
Certain death!
I suggest you play hookie on Friday and check these out and just stay as far away from the Mall on the weekend.
But do other things outside, as the weather seems tres promising.
At night, three opposite spectrums, both dance-like-you've-never-danced-before worthy: Ghostland Observatory is at 930 Club (with WIll Eastman Opening), Raveonettes bring their dark and sexy to The Cat and over at Bobby Fischer Memorial Building Matt & Kim throw down.
Expect sweat on sweat contact everywhere.
Sunday
Wake up.
Eat brunch.
See your whole day pass you buy before your very eyes in a blur of mimosas, cheese and a lot of that Ruby Suns new record which sounds like something you should do a sunshine dance too
and then at night....go see Caribou and Fuck Buttons or The Dodos at DC9 (I know they're playing The Cat next week with Les Savy Fav, but people, you know you want to see them somewhere smaller than the mainstage).
No, really.
Now, tell me what I missed.
God loves a cheerful giver.
Ingrid and the Max Levine Ensemble are also playing the Matt & Kim show, its going to RULE. Im trying to come up for it
xiu xiu sold out yesterday I believe.
Razzmatazz is on the backstage at the Cat on Saturday with our very own William Alburque (get your Jarvis on).
I call that face "The Lex"
The dress code for the Disco Soiree is "Fashionable - Disco Attitude encouraged".
WERK! WERK IT BITCH!!!!!!
Mass Appeal at the R&R Hotel on saturday. Cheap as free.
I had planned on dragging my sick self out to the Cat tonight but did not plan in advance and thus am on the wrong side of the "sold out" sign. The only thing that makes me feel better is that thumbnail of Lexie. Awesome.
Thao is playing right now on my sirius to taunt me. What a tease...
Deleted Scenes
Drink Up, Buttercup
Butterflies
The Fordists
OH, and I'm playing music all night long at DC9 on Saturday.
Holler.
Cale, true, with exception of my chin looking like it belongs on a ventriloquist dummy.
PULL ZEE STREENGS!!
ditto on the Razz
Will A is taking requests on myspace
