BYT Empire

Brightest Young Things

May was FOOD MONTH on BYT (after the SEX theme, focusing only on life’s necessities with our themes) and as such you can expect a visual overload of food posts. One of the regular columns was WHAT’S IN YOUR FRIDGE; where we explored the window to everyone’s soul: the contents of their fridge/freezer.

This turned out to be a HUGE success, and a wonderful, humane insight into both the lives of people involved and DC's eating habits.

We intruded onto the kitchens local people of note, readers, food critics and chefs, pr people and beyond (and were amazed and grateful as to how game everyone was to bare their all) and clicking on the links below will take you to some of our favorites from the series:

Todd Kliman, food and wine editor of Washingtonian, their restaurant critic and author of "Wild Vine" graciously and gamely opened the doors to his home and his fridge to us first:

As did Brendan Canty, of Fugazi:
