Robyn basically puts on one of the funnest live shows evah.
She will be bringing her magic back to the area on February 1st when she takes on Rams Head live. Tickets are a (well worth it) $25, BUT we have 3 pairs to give away. Who's excited?

I'm real excited to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I missed the epic Halloween Zoo concert and they're getting dangerously close to mainstream (might be too late). The hipster in me won't travel to Merriweather or Verizon Center so I get one last chance to see them be cool before they get uncool with fame.
I have to say I'm most excited to see Girl Talk. Considering it's been 2 years since his last time through the District, it's sure to be a sick show. And with an album like All Day, 9:30 Club is sure to be rockin' both nights!

I'm most excited for Lady Gaga. I saw her through her first tour around. Her original show @ 9:30 club was canceled and then rescheduled for Constitution Hall. She puts on an amazing live show. She's a great artist, great musician. She is a true entertainer.

i'm most excited for the house show i'm going to convince robyn to play when i tell her how i was her for halloween and she's all flattered and slightly creeped out. i'm only going to invite cool people who knew who i was dressed as and all the punks who were like that's so weirddd you're wearing a white wig and a fembot necklace are going to have to go to a shoegaze concert instead because this one will be for DANCING only.

The Slackers will be at the Rock and Roll Hotel in April. They have an extensive catalog of records I was seriously attached to a couple of years ago, and I can't wait to hear whatever they choose to play. Seeing them live will be like going to my pre-recession college days...

I'm most excited to see: Robyn w/ Diamond Rings. Robyn is amazing by herself but with Diamond Rings it is a MUST see. The Diamond Rings album is amazing androgenous one man synth pop. The Pogues would be pretty cool too. They wrote the best x-mas song ever, "Fairytale of New York".
it's a toss-up between chromeo, david wax museum, and the lady gaga/scissor sisters show. it's gonna be such a good music year

Robyn & Diamond Rings -- these were two of my favorite shows of 2010 (well, I saw Diamond Rings twice and Robyn just the once) and I'm psyched they're touring together in 2011!
