ontinuing a hot DC summer streak FAMILY HEMERLEIN RETURNS FOR A SPECIAL MID-WEEK, pre-holiday weekend edition ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31st (which is this Wednesday!). It is the single greatest comedy/musical variety show in DC and we've missed it as much as you've missed it. Especially since this month around we have two guests we've been hoping to book for a couple of months now, and we should all be excited that the stars aligned adequately this time around.
the ever handsome and talented Matthew Hemerlein and Seaton Smith will be back in their usual top form to act as your musical and comedy hosts, and will be joined by:
- In the comedy corner we have Yannis Pappas whom you may have seen on VH1's "BEST WEEK EVER", on BET, MTV, Comedy Central and as a podcaster on itcouldbebetter.org. According to all reports, he's a "comedy beast"
- musically, Meredith Bragg will be stopping by with his latest "collection of sleepy and instrumental driven tracks, with lyrics that are as sharp as they are mesmerizing". You can stream his new record, "NEST", over @ Paste Magazine to prepare yourself.
Tickets are somehow still available (for a very reasonable $15) but we do have a pair of them to give away, and to enter to win, leave us a comment telling us how you spent this hurricane weekend. We'll notify the winner by 9am Wednesday. Cool?

Spent the hurricane weekend drinking, like every other good American.

Drinking Dark and Stormys at the Argonaut and watching as people's umbrella's folded in half as they scurried into the corner store on Maryland.
why, I spent it dreaming about the dreamy duo of Matthew Dreamerlein and Seaton Smith McDreamerson... i mean, really, who needs water, food and shelter in a hurricane when you can meditate on these two.
I went to yoga and watched UFC. Exciting.
