Brightest Young Things

This is how it goes: The Love Language comes to town, enslaves some hearts, brands some fans, then hits the road taking at least one of our friends hostage. I've come to terms with this because I respect how they operate their program.

TONIGHT- this band of hard partying white Gypsys plays Black Cat with Lost in Trees & Pomegranates. I've decided that while they officially claim North Carolina as their home-base, D.C. is where their father relocated and remarried, so the show is definitely a homecoming affair.

I wanted to see what kind of trouble our good friends have gotten themselves into since embarking on a nation-wide tour with Local Natives, so I asked the Love Language to throw together a tour scrapbook:

Traveling and playing with Local Natives and The Union Line was a hell of a lot of fun. We started in Los Angeles, meandered around the country, and ended up in Houston. For the last couple of shows us and The Union Line joined the Natives on stage during their encore for some extra boost. This is a snippet of the camera-taped-to-the-chest version of that experience.

The Natives and Union Line are continuing the east coast part of their tour with The Ruby Suns as support. Check them all out at 9:30 Club on October 28. We're playing a string of east coast dates as well, starting tonight at The Black Cat main stage with our good friends Lost in the Trees and also Pomegranates, come check it outttttt!
