This past weekend Jete Society came together for their 11th annual Dance Party, which features The Washington Ballet and whatever the beloved company has in store. This time around, the occasion, c0-chaired by Ashley Taylor and Winston Bao Lord, was to celebrate (and sneak peak at some of the truly stunning visuals) the upcoming premiere of The Washington Ballet‘s Alice (in Wonderland), a collaboration between Washington Ballet’s choreographer Septime Webre, designer of Cirque du Soliel’s OVO, Liz Vandal and composer Matthew Pierce. This prompted the guests to show up in all manner of mad hatting/white rabbit/queen of hearts inspired finery and lent a sense of additional whimsy and flair to the evening.
Shauna took some TRULY wonderful photos so we'll just let you enjoy those but a PSA for the end:
- keep your eye out for ALICE - coming in April to the Eisenhower theatre and for some exclusive behind the scenes coverage on BYT
- if you'd like to help the Washington Ballet and get involved in the Jete Society - clicking on this link will help you do that.
