In what we heard numerous people describe as "THE DIY event of the year" Positive Force DC organized a bunch of kids who normally defy organizing and hosted a great event at St. Stephen's church. Some of our favorite DC bands (Imperial China, True Womanhood, Tereu Tereu) played, folks bought and sold records, clothes, jewelry, show posters, books, comics, comic books and more and most imporantly, everyone seemed to get along.
Jane Briggs swung by with her camera and captured the bustling DIY economy at work:

God loves a cheerful giver.

what a bunch of dorks.
and gypsies.
Hey BYT, I'm guessing you guys aren't all that well traveled outside your bohemian hipster circles, but think about doing a feature on Mark from Positive Force. He's an amazing guy with a ton of insight. Just make sure you get one of your non-douchebag peoples on it.
164425 @feature on mark?: well, when you ask so nicely....
btw, who's that chick with the purple hair? she's the hottest dork of all.
and seriously, everybody was soooo much hotter than some of the folks in these pix. The whole scene just had a cool vibe and I wish I coulda stayed!
Who the FUCK cares who looked hot at this show? This show had nothing to do with what the audience looked like. It's obvious that one person is writing these same comments to make people feel bad. Get a fucking life.
i saw at least two ALIAS related things - didn't know it was so popular!
