After the 2009 Neiman Marcus edition, DC's version of Fashion's night out is stepping up it's game and taking over Georgetown on September 10th. They hosted an intimate press preview event last week (at Hu'sWear) to introduce the host committee and announce more details. In between champagne, finger foods and more cameras than people, here is the scoop and the photos you may be interested in:
The event is to benefit Labels for Love (which is presided over by Mary Amons, who is, yes, one of the Real Housewives of DC, and part of the host commitee) and over 50 Georgetown businesses are participating with special sales, offers etc... with a special tote bag being designed and sold for 10 dollars. Cirque de Soleil is partnering up with the event to provide street entertainers the night of, as well as donate ticket prizes which will be placed randomly into Fashion's Night Out totes and vitaminwater is hosting a hydrating lounge for all the do-gooding shoppers at Dean & Deluca.
Mary aside, the host commitee, among others, consists of (honorary housewife) Paul Wharton, Project Beltway's Rachel Cothran, Angie Goff, Urban Daddy's Jeff DuFour and City Shop Girl's Kelly Collis.
Now-look at the photos (since that's what it is all about) and mark September 10th on your consumer calendars.
