2:58: Ok, I'm about to head out, but here's a few more pictures before I go. The last part of the sale is happening from 4-6 PM, and there are a couple of tickets left for that time slot, so get over here and get the goods! Thanks, Gilt City! We had a terrific time and honestly, we can't wait for the next sale here in the District! The nearest Gilt City sale is in Boston at the end of March...tempting. Road trip, anyone?

2:44 PM:  I haven't spotlighted the male side of the sale here at Gilt City DC that much, have I? Ok, here's some dudes shoe shopping. Bonus: check out the art on the walls of the Long View Gallery in the background

2:14PM: Fashion lovers rifling through the accessory table at high-speeds. I'm not going to lie; it's hazardous out out on the floor. I'm headed out again soon...right after I rehydrate with some smartwater (one of the sale's sponsors).

1:59 PM: This is Aminata. She was so happy to score a pair of All Saints Converse-style sneakers for $10 and a Trina Turk Jumper for $45. I love her outfit, too, a simple pairing of a cream sweater and filmy sheer black skirt, offset with chunky gold bracelets.

The second group of shoppers is currently checking out, arms overflowing with merchandise. Haven't seen any wrestling matches yet (damn!) but I did see one girl snag a shoebox directly after it fell from the arms of another woman.

1:12 PM:  Here's Caitlyn Carpanzano, Gilt City PR Manager, and Marissa Schneider, the Gilt City DC curator.

We asked Marissa about some of the spring trends represented here at the sale: color-blocking, neon, and tribal prints. "Everyone should also have something python or reptilian-print this spring, a leather bag or shoe," she said. Marissa's loving this season's chunky heels and platforms, plenty of which were on display out on the shoe tables.

12:48 PM: The great thing about the Gilt City warehouse sale is that there's something here for everyone, including kids clothing, accessories, and housewares.  And shoes. Did I mention the shoes? There are a ton of incredible pairs of shoes here: boots, stilettos, sandals, flats, slippers. I've also spotted some cool studded belts, simple tees, bedding, lamps, adorable ballet flats for girls, a few buttery leather Valentino handbags, and more. There are also a number of gorgeous formal gowns marked way WAY down, just in case you're headed to a state dinner in the near future. Some pics of the sale are below, including the $29 Marc Jacobs dress I mentioned before, a gorgeous beaded Reem Acra gown and some Matthew Williamson beauties.

12:09 PM: Here's Mitch, who was really excited about all the Paul Smith ties he found at the warehouse sale. He's only holding a few, but I swear he had about a year's worth of ties in his stash.

11:41 AM: People aren't looking too tired yet, but the line to check out is getting loooooong. Luckily, there's sustenance from Popchips and KIND, not to mention drinks from VeeV and smartwater. I just found a $29 Marc Jacobs dress languishing on the rack, so there's still plenty of scores to be had.

11:10 AM:We spotted blogger Liberty with a pair of $29 Hunter boots. How excited does she look?

11:00AM: We just had a chat with the DJ, Jaime Mizell. Jaime is providing tunes for the sale and is super cute, dancing up a storm behind her setup. So far she's spun Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, LMFAO and more...perfect shopping music, if you ask us!

10:27 AM: I'm hanging out with a mimosa in hand, but I hear the line outside is all the way around the block. It's getting crazy in here, too. What caught my eye out on the floor? So far, a seafoam green chiffon Chloé shrug, a J. Mendel evening gown and a striped Missoni tank.

10:05 AM: Good morning! We're here at the Gilt City DC Warehouse Sale at the Long View Gallery on 9th Street. They've just opened the doors and there's still a line of stylish people waiting to get in the door. Stay tuned for pictures, interviews, style reports and more...
