Brightest Young Things

With Valentine's day rapidly approaching we will be celebrating the miracle of musical collaborations in love songs. Predictable? Sure. Awesome? Definitely (trust me).

Was there ever going to be a pre-Valentine's week without a Lee Hazlewood song in it?
Yeah, right. Have you met this website or me yet?
Anyway...
There is a part in here just as the first chorus of "Baaaaaaaaaby" is about to kick in when the harmonica (at least I think its a harmonica, it may as well be a weapon of mass heart destruction) swells so high and deep I feel a need to either
a. turn the song off
or
b. push the volume as high up as my eardrums can handle and then as it crumbles down and she purrs "you turn my head around" and to me, that moment is perfection.
This whole song is perfection.
I don't really nerd out to music but I totally nerd out to the both sonic (that guitar going into a whisper from a roll around 2:05-come on!) and emotional oscillations in this.
Nobody did it better than Lee Hazlewood and Ann Margaret makes for a great lady to his cowboy.

"You turn my head around"
You bet you do.

and a Dean & Britta cover bonus:

God loves a cheerful giver.
