When I walked into Civilian Arts Project, the crowd was lively and the wine was flowing-the bartenders had just run out of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Ryan Hill's work was in the front room (his exhibit, entitled Superfacial, included a collage that spanned one of the walls; the images included contemporary tabloid pics, iconic images, adverts, movie moments, et cetera) while Lindsey Raymond's pieces were in the back (she is a recent Corcoran graduate, and this is her first gallery opening outside of school).

The style was fascinating, for the most part; there were lots of tattoos, piercings, "hipster flats", spikes, gages, skinnys...

The shoes are part of the atmosphere. It's my thing. And...there ARE other pictures.

Nice work Aineki - I dig the shoes and coverage, plus the Mister Rogers shirt looks familiar.
