Adam De Boer (whom we have featured last week in our first ever "Inside the Artist's Studio") held the opening of his "Memory Meets Imagination Halfway" (curated by Linda Roulet) at the DCAC this past weekend.
Taking notes from the works of Francisco Goya, Balthus and Eric Fischlin in a series of narrative paintings, "De Boer makes specific color choices and creates a cohesive series within his warm muted California/Spain inspired palette. Using friends and family as subject, the intimate compositions present multiple narratives forming an fascinating commentary on the contemporary family". The show is open till February 21st and the artist talk is scheduled for the closing day from 5 to 7 pm. http://www.dcartscenter.org/
