In case you missed it, Manifest HOPE, in all it's glory was one of the most unbelievably impressive installations EVAAAR.
We're doing this thing backwards because it was more recent, and well, there were more famous people there. In addition to all the glitz from the stars and the famous artists (see Shepard Fairey) there was a double (maybe triple dose) of awesome at the closing party added by performances from most certainly awesome De La Soul and Santogold, as well as sort-of-awesome depending on who you ask Moby.
Emphasis on the art though for sure, which was BEAUTIFUL, least fun part had to have been the RIDICULOUS line to get in. However, like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, for those of us lucky to have arrived, there was an open bar, like a cherry on top.
Oh, and Heather Graham (see Boogie Nights):

Fairey, inspiring a whole generation of hacks. I don't know how that douchebag sleeps at night.

Those pics of Moby are the definitive argument against going vegan. Meat keeps you young!
Meat keeps you mentally challenged......
Hey pretty good job. I didn't use a flash and brought the wrong lenses... Ran out of battery about quarter way through.
Looks like a great event. Wish I was there.
Am I alone in thinking it's a bit of a shame this event was in Georgetown? Did these artists/celebs know DC and what Georgetown represents here?
i wasn't there, but to answer your question, no. most people outside dc don't realize that georgetown is only for shopping on wednesday afternoons.
whatevr denman, you makes mentally... uh...
