Fixation is the title of the show currently on display at Fight Club. Catch some air on the vert ramp, hear some music, drink some beers, look at some pretty pictures.
This visit to Fight Club was for me, unlike previous stop by's, uncharacteristically fancy, what with patrons in sports coats and things. However, it was, predictably, fantastic, exotic, and as always full of surprises. All credit to Ten Miles Square, Phillipa Hughes at the Pink Line Project, Fight Club, Fotoweek DC, and of course, the photographers themselves, whose work was exhibited at the space, which can be found on Blagden Alley, near 9th and N st's in DC... for those of you who have never been to Blagden Alley, it is a historic gem of Washington DC's rich past, and I recommend it as one of the most interesting places in DC.
The show itself was something of an afterthought almost. There were so many people! Lining the alleyway, waiting in line, buying beers, taking pictures... I must have seen at least ten photographers there with professional-looking gear. (If you took photos on Friday night and would like to link to this post, please post your galleries in the comments section.)
Special mention, one of BYT's finest, Chris Chen, was exhibiting at Fight Club, if you haven't already, go out and see some of the work from Fotoweek DC. There are many options.

God loves a cheerful giver.

Thanks for the write-up. It was indeed a great opening (more than 700 people showed).
